Is It A Good Idea To Pay Someone To Do My Homework?? However, Iâve found out that I can only try multitasking and not actually do it, as the studies show. I learned that doing research is also a skill much too late. â Today, itâs me who does like doing all kinds of homework. My major is social psychology, so you can imagine the amount of homework Iâm dealing with! Donât get me wrong â" I still did my homework before, but now itâs completely different because I donât see this process as a tedious thing I canât wait to get over and done with. Many times, kids with learning disabilities get way too much help and fall into the âlearned helplessnessâ trap. It was a revelation to me when the Nerd told me that procrastination is normal and even useful. The reason is that we as humans cannot focus the attention on one subject for a long period of time. This is actually an evolutionary trait that we all have, according to Psychology Today. It would be to be more confident about doing homework. I know the flow of homework never ends and if you donât get it all under control, it becomes overwhelming very quickly. When I couldnât find relevant sources, I got so frustrated that often bought academic articles online, getting way out of my budget. My Personal Nerd said that every student faces this issue and it can actually be very frustrating (thatâs for sure!). I donât write down everything during lectures and donât use highlighters to make important parts of my notes. However, one thing I can do is setting priorities when it comes to homework. Now I know where to get all the information from and never lose any data anymore. I save my papers, drafts, books, lectures and presentations for each class in individual folders. Organizing all the books, articles, and papers in folders by course and class helps keep track of all the information and never lose anything you might need later. These questions are very easy, but they help me learn which homework I should prioritize in my schedule. Be sure youâre not over-functioning for your learning disabled child by doing his work for him or filling in answers when he is capable of thinking through them himself. So let him own his disappointment over his grades. Let him choose what he will do or not do about his homework and face the consequences of those choices. Now he will begin to feel ownership, which may lead to caring.
